I was gone for the holiday weekend, and I came back to a mailbox stuffed with envelopes.  While I'm sure some of these came on Friday and Saturday, I'm considering this the biggest return day I've had of all time.  Here's the breakdown of everything I received:

Spring Training TTM: Ryan Cook

  • Ryan Cook 2/2- The A's all-star pitcher signed two cards from the 12 Topps set.  It's pretty cool that he had a his rookie card and an All-Star card in the same set.  I'm guessing only Mike Trout and Bryce Harper probably received the same treatment in last year's Topps offering.  Sent 3/4 (21 days)

Athletics @ Red Sox, 5/1

Started off the new month with a cold and rainy night at Fenway.  The results were less than stellar for both graphing and the game itself.  I got 3 cards signed, and each one has its own unique flaws.  Still, it was nice that a few guys stopped to sign despite the drizzle and fog covering the area at the time.

  • Tyson Ross- 11 Topps, Shaky sig, card moved while he was signing it
  • Jordan Norberto- 10 Topps, Water droplets on the sig
  • Brian Fuentes- 09 Topps, The whole signature started to fade thanks to the damp air

Spring Training TTM: Josh Reddick

  • Josh Reddick 1/1- This year, I sent out quite a few cards to guys that didn't have a good return rate. Josh was one of my "change of scenery, change of heart" experiments, and it paid off. I wasn't able to get his autograph during the past few years with the Red Sox, but I guess the trade to Oakland made him change his outlook now that he'll have the opportunity to play on a regular basis. Pack Pull Auto: David DeJesus

I haven't bought too many packs of Gypsy Queen, but I definitely get my money's worth when I do buy them. I've probably bought 8-10 hobby packs and pulled 2 jersey cards already, and today I pulled my first auto. The signature isn't that great, but the on-card auto looks very nice with the Gypsy Queen design.
